Dr Tha Cha is a geriatrics doctor in Fresno and is also a shaman. As part of the Hmong Voices Spring 2018 Series the Hmong Minor Program at Fresno State is having Dr Cha to speak about his experiences as a western medically trained doctor and as a practicing shaman on January 19. He is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the Fresno area, including Community Regional Medical Center and St. Agnes Medical Center and San Joaquin Valley Rehabilitation Hospital. He received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and has been in practice for 18 years.

Seng Alex Vang is a lecturer in the Merritt Writing Program at the University of California, Merced. He is also a lecturer in the Department of Anthropology, Geography & Ethnic studies at California State University, Stanislaus where he teaches courses in Asian American studies.

    I recommend having additional speaking engagements during the evening so that more people from the community can participate.

    I’m curious if this would be available via podcast because so many from afar and from many different communities would be very interested in learning more about dual treatment modalities from east/ west practices. Please inform. Thank you!
