MN Primary Election 2018 Results

The 2018 Primary Election in Minnesota held a historic number of Hmong American candidates running for elected office with two House districts that featured multiple Hmong American candidates.

In District 59A incumbent Rep. Fue Lee advanced to the November General Election.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

District 40B was a competitive race between two Hmong American women candidates with Samantha Vang advancing to the November General Election.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Other districts that did not hold primaries include three candidates: Tou Xiong in District 53A, Kaohly Her in District 64A, Jay Xiong in District 67B, and Yele-Mis Yang for District 42B.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Both candidates for Judge in District 2 Seat 11, Adam Yang and Judge for District 2 Seat 20, P. Paul Yang advanced to the November General Election.

For the Hennepin County Commission primary former Minneapolis City Council Blong Yang advanced to the November General Election.
